The site conversation, on the record, in the same system as the work.

Work conversations belong where the work is. Message a colleague directly, talk to a team in its own channel, or reach the whole organisation at once, and share a file into any of them without it leaving the system. A shared file is a real document: same permissions, same version history, same audit trail, and it stays findable in Documents a month later when someone goes looking. Team channels follow your personnel groups, so adding someone to Finance gives them the Finance channel immediately and removing them takes it away. There is no separate list of channel members to keep in step. Unread counts follow you across every device, and searching for what was decided covers conversations as well as documents.
